Love, Laughter & Living
www.storydance.co.uk Cotham Parish Church Hall 0117 9249455Postnatal group to creatively explore the dance of motherhood.
Baby 2-12 months.
For mothers and babies to explore movement and to play together. Groups start in circle, with people saying a little about their week (not necessarily always ‘fine’!) There are then some suggestions for activity to be adapted by mothers according to the age and mood of their baby. These are songs and rhymes in which infants can be kissed, rocked, tickled etc. Music is then used to give an opportunity to move around the room carrying your baby, focussed either just on each other or in relation to others in the group. Babies are surprisingly social and love being danced in relation to each other, often smiling, kicking and squealing in delight as they are brought close together.
