Dundas Aqueduct to Avoncliff
This walk starts at Brass Knocker Basin (see Bath) and passes through pretty cuttings and embankments. Take towpath and follow the signs to Avoncliff. Lots of wild flowers and ducks - but also many cyclists at the weekends in summer. Fordside Tea Gardens is about 0.75 mile from the start of the walk, open daily. The walk to Avoncliff Aqueduct is approx. 4 miles. There are many other walks that are possible along the Kennet and Avon canal and it's easy for family cycling, but do watch the edge! In the other direction it is about 4 miles to Bathampton where The George is a child friendly pub for lunch. Access: Take A36 from Bath to Monkton Combe, turn left on B3108 and park at Canal Visitor Centre.
