The centre is in a converted mill housing hands-on wildlife and conservation displays is currently only open when schools are visiting, but there is plenty to do outside. The Valley Nature Reserve, which includes a Heritage Sculpture Trail, a Wild Waste Garden and plenty of lovely sculptural seating areas for picnics is open all year. Pond dipping equipment available for hire. All paths pushchair friendly.
